Department of Economic Policy

• Analysis of the county’s macro-economic policy
• Participation with in elaboration and implementation of sectoral economic policy and strategies together with different official agencies
• Participation in elaboration of the country’s social policy, labor market regulations and migration policy
• Participation in elaboration of economic reforms and system of institutional and legislative regulation
• Elaboration of licensing and technical regulation policy and analysis of their impact on business climate
• Analysis of the existing business climate and elaboration of recommendations for support to development of entrepreneurship; amendment of legislation, and expertise of bills initiated in the sphere of entrepreneurship
• Participation in the definition of the main principles and objects of the country’s regional economic policy and support to its implementation
• Elaboration and support to post-conflict regions economic rehabilitation.

For realization of the aforementioned tasks the Economic Policy Department cooperates with different state institutions, economic agencies of local self-government bodies and Autonomous Republics of Adjaria and Abkhazia, entrepreneurs, non-government organizations and participates in activity of different state commissions and interagency working groups.
