Main tasks and authorities of the department are:

• Securing account calculation and financial accounts;
• Securing the creation of exploitation terms of administrative building of the Ministry; financial monitoring of the incomes received/to be received from privatization and temporary transmission of state properties;
• Execution of mutual comparison with the customer (leaser) based on the agreement arranged by the Ministry; securing budget sources and means planning for the Ministry;  according to the law on "State Privatization", the department must prepare accounts concerning sources allotted from the budget; coordination and control of the privatization process;
• Coordination and working out the united budget of the Ministry; coordination of exceptional situation and secret protection regime, mobilization regime, mobilization plan creation process; participation in saving, providing, renewal, changing, abolishing reserves and loaning out reserves of industries and organizations;
• Public protection plans system correction and creation; securing correspondence processing and their motion according to the regulations; participation in the certification and corresponding registration of the public personnel;
• Organization and execution of competitions on the available vacancies;
• Periodic analysis and statistical production of employee resource management (appointment, firing, promotion etc) derivation of private affairs of public employees;
• Control of the orders of the President of Georgia, Prime-Minister, The Parliament, orders of the ministry attributed to it by the normative and legislative acts of the government and Ministry of Economic Development of Georgia.

During the execution of the orders the department collaborates with the structural units of the Ministry, territorial bodies and other institutions belngng to the system.  

The structural units of the department are: Accounting (Administration;) Material-technical Maintenance Administration; Secret Protection Administration; Network and Technologic Maintenance Administration; Financial Administration; Office Administration; Personnel Management Administration.
