Main functions of the Service for Trade Development with Asia-Africa Region and other Countries: 
 

  •  Analyze trade turnover and work on relevant recommendations with respect to Asia-Africa Region and other countries; 
  • Work on the establishment of Bilateral Investment Treaties (BIT) with Asia-Africa Region and other countries; 
  • Conduct consulting services for business operators being in trade relations with Asia-Africa Region and other countries; identification of their problems and requirements, and proceeding accordingly, within its competence;  
  • Provide information services for business operators interested in trade relations with Asia-Africa Region and other countries, including the provision of information about trade concessions;
  • Explore local markets of Asia-Africa Region and other countries, analyzing and preparing relevant recommendations for the country`s export potential expansion and optimal use; assisting companies in establishing communications with business operators and marketing companies of Asia-Africa Region and other countries;  
  • Obtain information about exporters in Asia-Africa Region and other countries; registering and categorizing them according to the field, size and other needed characteristics; 
  • Develop proposals and prepare reports for further improvement of contractual basis to deepen bilateral trade-economic relations with Asia-Africa Region and other countries; 
  • Organize bilateral intergovernmental economic commission sessions with Asia-Africa Region and other Countries, prepare issues defined by the Protocol of the Commission and monitor their implementation; 
  • Prepare discussion points for bilateral meetings between the delegations of Georgia and Asia-Africa Region and other countries; 
  • Cooperation with diplomatic corps, various ministries and bodies within the competence.
