Main functions of the Service for Trade Development with USA and Countries of the American Continent: 
 

  • Analyze trade turnover and work on relevant recommendations with respect to USA and countries of the American Continent; 
  • Conduct consulting services for business operators being in trade relations with USA and countries of the American Continent; identification of their problems and requirements, and proceeding accordingly, within its competence;  
  • Provide information services for business operators interested in trade relations with USA and countries of the American Continent, including the provision of information about trade concessions;
  • Explore local markets of USA and countries of the American Continent, analyzing and preparing relevant recommendations for the country`s export potential expansion and optimal use;
  • Obtain information about exporters in USA and countries of the American Continent; registering and categorizing them according to the field, size and other needed characteristics; 
  • Develop proposals and prepare reports for further improvement of contractual basis to deepen bilateral trade-economic relations with USA and countries of the American Continent; 
  • Work on the establishment of Bilateral Investment Treaties (BIT) with USA and countries of the American Continent;
  • Organize bilateral intergovernmental economic commission sessions with USA and countries of the American Continent, prepare issues defined by the Protocol of the Commission and monitor their implementation; 
  • Prepare discussion points for bilateral meetings between the delegations of Georgia and USA and countries of the American Continent; 
  • Cooperation with diplomatic corps, various ministries and bodies within the competence.
