EU Twinning Contract “Strengthening the Capacities of the Technical and Construction Supervision Agency (TCSA) in Development of the Market Surveillance System in Georgia” Twinning Reference: GE/14/ENI/EC/02/17 (GE/29)

is seeking to recruit:

1. Resident Twinning Advisor Translator/Interpreter (RTA Language Assistant)

Duration: Up to 4 months (starting date: Immediately)
Positions are based in: Technical and Construction Supervision Agency (TCSA) office, Tbilisi

The overall objective of the twinning project is to assist the Government of Georgia to comply with EU best practices in Market Surveillance on industrial and consumer products, as required under the AA/DCFTA and as set out in the Georgian Multiannual Action Plan on Market Surveillance of Industrial and Consumer Products. The purpose of this twinning project is to strengthen the Technical and Construction Supervision Agency (TCSA) in terms of implementation and enforcement of legislation, human resources and market surveillance and consumer protection's awareness, to meet DCFTA requirements and challenges.

The abovementioned twinning project is funded by the European Union and will be implemented as a joint project between Northern Ireland Co-operation Overseas (NI-CO) and the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia.

1. Resident Twinning Advisor Translator/Interpreter (RTA Language Assistant)
Qualifications:
- Excellent command of spoken and written Georgian and English language;
- University degree on English language and/or literature;
- Previous experience of minimum 3 years in language assistance, translations and interpretations;
- Excellent organisational skills;
- Advanced usage of computer and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.);
- Previous working experience in EU and/or donor funded projects shall be considered as an asset.

Job description:
- Act as a language assistant to the RTA and visiting short term experts;
- Translation of written materials with relation to the project in Georgian/English;
- Interpretation as required during the project implementation;
- Developing and maintaining close working contacts and relationships with Beneficiary Country officials involved in each of the activities and the project management;
- Cooperate and work with RTA Assistant in daily management of the project related activities.

Conditions for this position: Availability as of September 2019; Location: Tbilisi.

The selected candidate for the RTA Assistant position shall be obliged to ensure fulfilment of local employment obligations and social benefits according the relevant national legislation (taxes, social security).
