“Now, when we are facing such a challenging time, the country is preparing to host the first foreign tourists and, in general, our economy is gradually opening, it is very important that the businesses and the public follow all the safety rules. In this regard, periodic disinfection is necessary. Therefore, it is welcoming that Georgian business has accommodated to the reality quickly and responded to the growing demand,” – Natia Turnava, the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development stated after she got acquainted with the working process at two companies producing sanitizers in the Mtskheta Municipality – the Eco Bohemia and the Elixir.
Eco Bohemia, a major manufacturer of household hygiene products in the South Caucasus region, currently produces hand antiseptics and sanitizers for the Georgian market. The company, which employs 45 locals, plans to export its products. The Elixir’s bio-disinfectant has received quality, food safety, environmental safety and other international recognitions. The daily production in the enterprise reaches 25 tons. Due to the high demand for exports, the number of employees has been increased to 60.
“Today I got familiar with the production process of two companies. Both of them produce very high-demand products. This is Georgian production and a clear example of how talented the Georgian business is, how quickly it has met the changed demand and stood by the population when it is needed so much,” – Natia Turnava said.
