Dimitry Kumsishvili: Georgian Post’s order delivery indicator reaches 97%

First Vice Prime Minister of Georgia, the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Dimitry Kumsishvili attended the presentation of the new product by the Georgian Post – Maleo, which was held at the Georgian Technology Park.

The First Vice Prime Minister, Dimitry Kumsishvili, in his welcoming speech, positively assessed the activity of the Georgian Post and its administration. According to the First Vice Prime Minister, following the reinvestment, the modern technological innovations and the high standards of service have been introduced in the company. As a result, the Georgian Post provides full postal service throughout Georgia, and which is most important the delivery time of the correspondence to the addressee is reduced to a minimum.

Dimitry Kumsishvili introduced the statistics regarding the activities of the Georgian Post. As the First Vice Prime Minister stated, the company has a significant increase in both local and international transfers. It is particularly notable that the international ratings illustrate that the Georgian Post’s order delivery indicator reaches 97%. “In December 2017, the offices of the Georgian Post provided the delivery of 250 000 postal transfer, which is by 30% higher indicator compared to the same period of the previous year, while the daily flow of the transfers exceeded 9 000 orders,” – the First Vice Prime Minister said.

The First Vice Prime Minister focused on the activities carried out by the company’s administration regarding the e-commerce platform. According to him, at the first stage, the Georgian Post will launch one component of the platform - Maleo, which is established mainly for the population of the Georgian regions. This platform will allow the people living in the regions of Georgia to receive the parcels from abroad at the offices of the Georgian Post for the same tariff as the population of large cities.

The CEO of the Georgian Post, Levan Chikvaidze introduced the main directions of the Maleo and the special commercial video was also offered to the audience.
