Concluded Negotiations

Free trade agreement between Georgia and European Free Trade Association (EFTA) was signed on 27 June 2016. The agreement entered into force for Iceland and Norway from September 1st. The procedures for entry into force with Switzerland is underway. 
 

The Memorandum of Cooperation on the completion of negotiations on free trade agreement between Georgia and China was signed by the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia and the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China on 5 October 2016.  
 

The Free Trade Agreement between the Government of the Georgia and the Government of People’s Republic of China was signed in Beijing on 13 May 2017. The ratification of the agreement from Georgian side was concluded on November 2nd 2017. The Agreement will enter into force upon completion of appropriate procedure from Chinese side.

 

Current Negotiations

Negotiations on the formation of free trade agreement between Georgia and Hong Kong, Special Administrative Region of China have concluded.
 

The preparation of Georgia-India Free Trade Agreement joint feasibility study is underway. 
 

With the aim to make amendments in the current free trade agreement between Georgia and Republic of Turkey the negotiations under Georgia-Turkish joint committee are being conducted for the further liberalization of tariffs on agriculture products and for the addition of trade in services to the Agreement.
