Natia Turnava at ZODI+ New Enterprise Opening Ceremony

Another new enterprise was launched within the framework of the state program of the LEPL Enterprise Georgia. Natia Turnava, the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, visited the Georgian natural stone processing company ZODI+ today. The Head of the Enterprise Georgia of the Ministry of Economy of Georgia, Mikheil Khidureli also attended the opening ceremony.

“Another very good initiative has been implemented with the support of the Enterprise Georgia program – the Zodi has been in the Georgian market since 2007. This year the company is expanding and opening another production line with the help of the state program. It is very important that the enterprise processes only Georgian, local natural stone; it has already replaced and is preparing for export. It is also important that the company which is already employing 200 people, has created additional 20 new jobs,” – Natia Turnava said.

According to the Minister, the government is doing its utmost to boost such local production and create more jobs, and many projects, including the ones under the Enterprise Georgia, are targeted at this purpose.

ZODI has been producing interior/exterior doors and finishing materials since 2007. The company has branches both in Tbilisi and in the regions, employing about 200 people and increases this number every year.

Since 2018, the company decided to launch manufacture of new products and managed to put the idea into life with the support of the Enterprise Georgia state program.

New enterprise of the ZODI Ltd is located in Tbilisi, N188 Guramishvili Street. It is equipped with the latest technology machinery. At the first stage, it provides jobs for 20 people, however, according to the company representatives, additional jobs will be created in the nearest future. The total amount of investment made under the state program equals to 2 mln GEL. ZODI Ltd is the beneficiary of the financial component of the LEPL Enterprise Georgia of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, which means that it will co-finance the loan in the first two years.

According to the data of September 2019, in total, 329 projects have been supported within the framework of the Enterprise Georgia state program, with total investment amounting to over 719,9 million GEL and 12 340 new jobs in total.
