UNIDO Energy Management System (EnMS) Programme and UNIDO Qualified EnMS Experts
The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) in collaboration with the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development and the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture implemented the UNIDO Energy Management System Capacity Building and Implementation Programme from October 2017 until March 2019. The Programme is part of the project “Reducing Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions through Improved Energy Efficiency in the Industrial Sector in Georgia” funded by the Austrian Federal Ministry for Sustainability and Tourism.
The UNIDO Energy Management Systems (EnMS) Capacity Building and Implementation (CBI) Programme had two objectives:
The UNIDO EnMS CBI Programme was targeted to national energy efficiency consultants and professionals with expertise in management system standards on one hand; and on the other to energy managers and other energy relevant staff of project partner enterprises.
The UNIDO EnMS CBI Programme consisted of 4 EnMS training modules complemented with on-the-job implementation practice and coaching by international trainers over the entire duration of the programme. After each training module trainees had to sit intermediate tests and a final exam at the end of the Programme is mandatory for successful completion.
