Georgia-China Free Trade Agreement

 

The “Free Trade Agreement between the Government of the Georgia and the Government of People’s Republic of China” was signed in Beijing on 13 May 2017. The Agreement enter into force from 1 January 2018. 

It should be noted that Georgia is the first country in the region having signed a free trade agreement with China.

Free Trade Agreement allows the goods and services originating in Georgia to enter to the world’s biggest 1.4 billion consumer market. The Georgian entrepreneurs have an opportunity to export the 94% of commodities on Chinese market with zero import tariffs.
