Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Levan Davitashvili met with the members of the EU-Georgia Business Council (EUGBC) and briefed them on the priorities of Georgia’s economic policy, relevant challenges and the ways of their solutions, ongoing and upcoming reforms, and the current economic trends.
Vice Prime Minister stated that the EUGBC is closely cooperating on the Georgia’s European integration and promoting the entry of Georgian business into the European market.
“We find it especially important to effectively address the issues under the EU Association Agenda so that Georgian businesses can actually take full advantage of the benefits that Georgia’s integration into the EU bring,” – Levan Davitashvili said.
Vice Prime Minister highlighted the volume of the foreign direct investment in the first quarter of 2022, which is 4 times larger than the same indicator during the same period of the previous year, and which is of the same importance, the share of EU foreign direct investments in the total volume equals to almost a half – 48,7%.
The presentation was followed by the discussion and the Vice Prime Minister answered the questions of the members of the EU-Georgia Business Council.
