Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Levan Davitashvili met with the Office Director for Economic Growth of the USAID Caucasus, Marika Olson, Chief of Party for the USAID Economic Security Program in Georgia, Mark McCord and other representatives of the program.
Projects implemented by various structural units of the Ministry with the support of the USAID Economic Security Program, including those in such important sectors as tourism, innovations, investment attraction, export promotion, entrepreneurship development, digitalization, transport, etc. were discussed during the meeting.
Levan Davitashvili thanked the US Government and the American people, who, through USAID and the Economic Security Program, support the development of Georgia’s economy, overcoming the challenges emerged due to the pandemic as well as other global developments.
Deputy Ministers of Economy and Sustainable Development Irakli Nadareishvili and Mariam Kvrivishvili, Head of the National Tourism Administration, Maya Omiadze, Director of the Enterprise Georgia Agency, Mikheil Khidureli, and Director of the Innovation and Technologies Agency, Avtandil Kasradze, also participated in the meeting.
