As part of the development of the state energy development strategy of Georgia, the Government of Georgia, together with the best national professionals and international experts, is working on the development of the national oil and gas strategy.
On January 30 of this year, in the presence of the leaders of the Energy Complex of Georgia, the Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Mr. Levan Davitashvilli has signed a contract for consulting services with an international expert Zhakyp Marabayev.
Zhakyp Marabayev, as Adviser to the Government of Georgia, will provide advice on the development of the national oil strategy, managing relationships with high-profile investors in this area and updating geological studies.
Zhakyp Marabayev - An experienced manager, a professional, with more than 40 years’ experience in the top management positions in the oil and gas industry of Kazakhstan and the Eurasia Region.
He has a Ph.D. in economics, a master's degree in mining, and has extensive experience in practical work in technical positions. He has advised and managed the most important energy projects in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
He has worked closely with the top management of the world's largest energy companies, both in Kazakhstan and abroad, and has been a major driving force in the development of joint ventures in the Country.
Zhakyp Marabayev went on an international executive training program in the structure of the top management of the TotalEnergies company and worked for two years in France, Great Britain, and Africa. During this period, he participated in strategic decision-making on commercial and technical issues, as well as a training for management staff at the French INSEAD Institute and successfully graduated from the MBA course for executives at the French Petroleum Institute (IFP).
