Resorts Development Agency Held Introductory Meeting with Sector Representatives

Resorts Development Agency of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia organized an introductory meeting with the representatives of the sector.

Agency Director, Aleksandre Onofrishvili, informed the invited guests about the activities of the Agency and the projects planned for the effective development of the field.

“Our priority is to actively cooperate with each representative of the resort sector and implement complex measures to promote the development of the sector, attract investments and popularize Georgian resorts,” – Alexander Onofrishvili stated.

Representatives of sector associations, hotels and tourist facilities attended the meeting and had the opportunity to discuss current issues in an interactive mode. It was noted that the cooperation between the Agency and the representatives of the sector will continue in the future.
LEPL Resorts Development Agency of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia was established on July 15, 2022, following the initiative of the Prime Minister of Georgia.

The main goals of the Agency include the development of the Georgian resorts and tourist attractions, study of cultural, historical, recreational or other aspects of tourist destinations in order to promote the complex development of resorts, cooperate with relevant agencies, to promotion of investments, facilitating the organization of a large-scale mass sports competitions, etc.

The Agency aims at playing an important role in the development of the resort industry by enhancing interagency cooperation and effective communication between the various public and private institutions.
