Vice-Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Levan Davitahvili held a meeting with the Vice President of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, Konstantin Limitovskiy. Priority directions of future cooperation were the main direction of the conversation.
“During the seven years of operation, the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank has shown us real success and is experiencing rapid progress by expanding its borders and accepting new members. We are focused on effectively usage of the long-term potential for structural reforms and major infrastructural investments, such as the Black Sea Submarine Cable, Anaklia Deep Sea Port, etc.,” – Levan Davitashvili said while talking to the AIIB Vice President.
Levan Davitashvili introduced the AIIB Vice President to the general economic situation in Georgia and provided information about the liberal investment environment and important current and planned projects. As Davitashvili noted, Georgia can play an important role in terms of improving ties between countries and economies in the region and creating a desirable investment environment at the crossroads of Europe and Asia.
The AIIB’s Vice President emphasized the successful and productive cooperation with Georgia, and, at the same time, expressed readiness for its further development on behalf of the Bank.
