Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Levan Davitashvili attended the opening event of the second International Real Estate Week.
In his speech, Levan Davitashvili noted that the Ministry is actively working on bringing the construction sector closer to the European model and implementation of the Eurocodes, within the framework of which the European standards collection has already been translated and the development of National Annexes are underway.
In addition, according to the information of Minister, in order to implement the Eurocodes and introduce construction practices, introduction of relevant Euronorms in the construction sector is being coordinated as well.
“There are a lot of new, modern technologies in the construction sector, and I think the right approach is to present the construction business as a real estate sector. The Ministry of Economy is actively helping industry associations to simplify the communication between the representatives of the sector and also to introduce our investment potential to the relevant investors,” – Minister highlighted in his speech.
Vice Prime Minister also stressed the importance of development of the unified spatial plan, where economic, ecological and social aspects will be taken into account, so that the country has a sustainable and correct vision of development.
Within the framework of the current Week in "Expo Georgia", a number of important events in the fields of construction and real estate are planned, which will contribute to the development of the mentioned sectors and to introduce Georgia’s investment potential to international partners. The Week will allow representatives of more than a hundred private companies to provide consumers with a number of offers of residential, commercial, office spaces and construction and interiors in one space.
