Levan Davitashvili Met with World Bank Newly Appointed Regional Director
Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Levan Davitashvili met with the new Word Bank Regional Director for the South Caucasus, Ms. Rolande Pryce, who is to officially start her office from September 1.
Sebastian Molineus, the World Bank’s current Regional Director for the South Caucasus, and Vakhtang Tsintsadze, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, also participated in the meeting.
Vice Prime Minister congratulated Rolande Pryce on her appointment at the position of the World Bank Regional Director for the South Caucasus and wished her productive work. Davitashvili also thanked Sebastian Molineus for his work and successful cooperation.
Partnership between Georgia and the World Bank was positively evaluated at the meeting and it was highlighted that the cooperation resulted in important structural reforms implemented in the country in such important directions as improving the competitiveness of the private sector, arranging infrastructure, promoting small and medium enterprises, developing the innovative ecosystem, transport, energy, corporatization of state enterprises, etc. Priority areas of current and future cooperation were also emphasized.
