Irakli Nadareishvili at Georgia’s Digital Transformation Forum Georgia

Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Irakli Nadareishvili participated in the official opening of the Digital Transformation Forum Georgia. A 4-day event in Tbilisi is organized by the Georgian ICT Cluster with the support of the USAID Economic Security Program.

Deputy Minister, in his address, focused on the decisions made in the direction of inclusive digital transformation of Georgia. “Inclusive digital transformation guaranties ensuring equal access to the benefits and opportunities that digital technologies bring to all sectors of society. It gives us the opportunity to grab the potential of the Georgian innovative ecosystem and ensure sustainable economic growth,” – Deputy Minister stated and highlighted the ecosystem should be open to facilitate collaboration, knowledge sharing and exchange of ideas among various stakeholders.

As Deputy Minister stared, priority of the Georgian Government is the development of the digital ecosystem in the regions, so that more people can benefit from digital services. Such services include land registration based on blockchain technology, remote services related to business, electronic tax procedures and others. “We are creating an environment for the startups of the future and preparing individuals with the skills and knowledge necessary for a digital age full of challenges and opportunities. For this, we focus more on training more specialists in the professions of the future,” – Nadareishvili noted.

Irakli Nadareishvili stressed the fact that about 250 startups that were the participants of the grant programs of Georgia’s Innovation and Technology Agency managed to attract over 300 million private investments.
