A Memorandum of Cooperation on Mutual Recognition of Seafarers’ Certificates Signed between Georgia and Qatar

Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Levan Davitashvili and the State Minister of Transport of Qatar, Jassim bin Saif bin Ahmed Al Sulaiti signed a Memorandum of Cooperation between Georgia and Qatar on Mutual Recognition of Seafarers' Certificates.

The signing ceremony was held within the frames of the Tbilisi Silk Road Forum.

The memorandum will contribute to the employment of Georgian sailors.

Georgia has signed memoranda regarding the recognition of seamen's certificates with 72 countries of the world, and Qatar became the 73rd country with a similar agreement.
