Levan Davitashvili Met with Large China Technology Company – The Neusoft Vice President in Davos

Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Levan Davitashvili met with Chen Ximin, the Senior Vice President of the Chinese multinational corporation Neusoft. The meeting was held within the framework of the participation of the Georgian Government delegation in the Davos World Economic Forum.

Vice Prime Minister introduced the economic trends of Georgia to the representative of the Chinese corporation. Particular attention was paid to the steps taken in the direction of the development of the innovative ecosystem in Georgia, including those aiming at attracting international technological companies to the country, granting them a special status that offers significant tax benefits to companies (5% income tax and 5% profit tax). It was noted that, at this stage, over 100 international IT companies are operating in Georgia and providing services to their customers from Georgia. It also means that they have created new jobs in the country for locals.

It was also highlighted that the Government of Georgia implements staff training programs for the local IT sector.

Vice Prime Minister invited the delegation of the Chinese Newsoft to Georgia to study the existing situation in the information technology sector of Georgia.
