"Today, in the digital age, in line with the global progress of innovative digital technologies, the postal sector is evolving and playing an important role in establishing connections between the people. Every day, billions of mails are sent to millions of addressees. The increased demand for e-services and especially e-commerce all over the world has further highlighted the significant role of the postal sector - it not only facilitates the communication, but also serves as a guarantor and a tangible element of digital trade, logistics and economic sustainability in the global ecosystem.
For 150 years now, the world postal service has provided the possibility of communication between the nations and the strengthening of ties between peoples, the exchange of information, which in turn has become an important stimulus for the progress. It is with the same theme that the Universal Postal Union celebrates its 2024 anniversary.
It can be said that mail is a field that practically affects the life of each of us, each person, and this is made possible by the tireless work of your specialists working in the field, for which we thank you very much!
