Construction of a new 3,5 km runway and relevant airport infrastructure to be lounched at Kutaisi International Airport.

New runway will facilitate the development of a logistics center and a cargo terminal near the airport, and the airport will be able to receive large (so-called wide body) aircraft.

The reception of large aircrafts will enable Kutaisi Airport to increase the number of air routes covering long distances.
In the future, Kutaisi International Airport will be the only airport in Georgia with the capability to receive large aircraft without restrictions.
