1. Device Calibration
Operation that, under specified conditions establishes the precise metrological characteristics of measuring instruments.
Documentation, necessary for receiving the service
I – Submission of a written request to the Agency for the service rendered in the field of metrology (calibration).
II – The analysis of possibilities of the service performance (technical, administrative etc.) that indicated in the request, is carried out by the Agency.
III – Coordination of the service details with interested party, drawing up of the relevant contract between the Agency and the interested party.
IV – Performance of calibration and issuing of the relevant documents (calibration certificate, report of calibration results and etc.)

2. Verification of legal measuring instruments
Verification - provision of objective evidence that a given item fulfils specified requirements.

I – Submission of a written request to the Agency for the service rendered in the field of metrology (calibration).

3. Registration of types of legal measuring instruments’ in the state register
It determines the procedures of types approval of measuring instruments manufactured in Georgia and abroad, recognition of types of measuring instruments approved abroad, registration of measuring instruments made as unitary copy in Georgia or imported from abroad in the State register.
Documentation, necessary for receiving the service
I - Submission of necessary documentation (registered standard, test program, type description, report of examination commission and conclusion, verification (calibration) methodology and other).
II - In the case of submission of full set of necessary documents the relevant agreement is drawn up between the Agency and customer.
III - Upon completion the work measuring instruments are to be registered in the Register within 5 working days in case of positive decision made with regards to measuring means’ registration in register, draw up relevant certificate.

4. Recognition of initial verification results
I - Approval of type of measuring instruments.
II - Recognition of Approval of type of measuring instruments.
III - Produced as an unitary copy and/or imported.
This measuring rule determines the procedures of recognition of initial results of those measuring instruments that have not been in operation yet.
The documentation, necessary for receiving the services
I - Submission of necessary documentation (written request of customer, the document approves the initial verification of measuring instruments, the document approves accreditation of verification organization and stamped mark patterns).
II - Request discussion and decision procedure.
III - Positive results are formed by a relevant act, based on which there will be put a a mark about recognition of initial verification results by a stamp in each of a measuring instrument passport. The number and date of recognition certificate is also indicated in the same mark.
