Mariam Kvrivishvili, the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, alongside Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze, Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili, and other representatives of the government and the private sector, participated in the hotel Paragraph Tabor grand opening ceremony.

Mariam Kvrivishvili thanked the Georgian Tourism Development Fund for implementing another outstanding project and spoke about its importance in the process of economic development for both the capital and the country as a whole.

“This is a unique complex, which, with its location, architecture, concept, and appearance, represents a model for the best development of the space. The hotel, located near the Botanical Garden, is unique with its connecting ropeway, a golf club, and a field that will add special charm to Tbilisi. Paragraph Tabor will make a significant contribution to the development of our country’s hospitality industry and firmly establish it on the world tourist map” – the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development declared.

Mariam Kvrivishvili noted that Paragraph Tabor is one of the largest investment projects in Georgia’s recent history, with a value exceeding 500 million GEL, which created hundreds of new jobs and established a center for stable employment. The Minister of Economy emphasized that the high standard required for the operation of the Paragraph complex contributes to the improvement of service quality in the country and the targeted development of the labor market.

“Georgia and Tbilisi carry a diverse, diversified economy and culture, and we are consistently committed to development in all directions. This approach has given us the economic growth with which our country leads among European countries, as well as those in the region. The effective policy of the government is why today we are celebrating record figures in several sectors of our country, including the tourism industry. Last year, the country received a record 4,4 billion USD from the tourism industry, while the passenger traffic is at a record high because the number of airlines and direct flights performed is at a record high. This clearly demonstrates the government’s correct economic policy in developing the tourism sector, including the transport industry” – Mariam Kvrivishvili stated.

Furthermore, according to the Minister of Economy, the high rate of economic growth is, on one hand, supported by, and at the same time, conditioned by the implementation of projects similar to Paragraph Tabor.

“The current dynamics and situation were envisioned years ago by Bidzina Ivanishvili, who laid the foundation for the multi-stage construction of ‘Panorama’ in Tbilisi. As a result of many years of effort, we have a completely organic and natural outcome that has seamlessly integrated into the development process of the city and the country. It is unnecessary for me to state how immense Mr. Ivanishvili’s merit is, not only in the process of developing large-scale projects but also for the proper development of the entire country” – the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development said.

Mariam Kvrivishvili assessed that the new complex will become a symbol of the era, as an expression of Georgia’s wise, peaceful, and development-oriented policy, and a place that will honorably present our country to visiting guests and international travelers.
