The completion of the first phase of the project is scheduled for 2029, following which the port’s annual throughput capacity will reach at least 600000 TEUs. Furthermore, the Anaklia Deep Sea Port will be capable of receiving large Panamax-type vessels, which other Georgian ports are currently unable to accommodate.
