As part of the Prime Minister of Georgia’s official visit to Singapore, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili met with Singapore’s Minister of State for Trade and Industry, Alvin Tan.

During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for deepening trade and economic relations and outlined plans for cooperation across various sectors, including transport, logistics, and tourism.

Special attention was given to the positive dynamics of bilateral trade. It was noted that in January–June 2026, compared to the same period of the previous year, trade turnover between Georgia and Singapore grew by 25 percent, while domestic exports was increased ninefold.

The discussion highlighted the significant potential for exporting Georgian wine, alcoholic beverages, mineral waters and pharmaceutical products to Singapore.

The participants also discussed the participation of Georgian companies in international exhibitions hosted annually by Singapore. It was noted that these events provide a great opportunity for local exporters to establish new contacts and promote Georgian products.

Attention was further drawn to deepening tourism ties between Singapore and Georgia.

Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Genadi Arveladze also participated in the meeting.
