Functions of the Transport and Logistics Development Policy Department:

• Develop the transport and logistics sector in accordance with the country's priorities and ensure maximum economic efficiency 
• Identify gaps and opportunities in the transport and logistics sector and ensure the implementation of effective policies for its development
• Promote the development of the legislative framework governing transport policy
• Draft international agreements in the field of transport, review existing agreements in line with established state policy, and participate in negotiations
• Participate, within its competence, in the improvement of the regulatory framework governing the sector and in its harmonization with international standards
• Study and analyze existing challenges and needs in the aviation, maritime, and land transport sectors
• Produce and analyze transport-related statistics
• Develop response strategies for identified challenges and/or opportunities
• Initiate, coordinate the implementation of, and monitor short-, medium-, and long-term transport development strategies
• Initiate and participate in the implementation of strategically important transport-related projects
• Plan and implement relevant measures and projects aimed at developing logistics and increasing the country’s transit potential 
• Cooperate with international organizations and institutions within the scope of its competence
• Coordinate activities in the land, maritime, and aviation transport sectors within the scope of its competence.
