Google map to Provide 360° Panoramic Images of Georgia
28-03-2025

In cooperation with the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia and the Innovation and Technology Agency, Google Street View is officially starting operations in Georgia.

As part of the project, Google’s special filming teams will capture 360-degree panoramic images in 24 Georgian cities over the next 12 months, starting in March 2025.

It is planned to cover 15000 kilometers, including cities such as Tbilisi, Batumi, Kutaisi, Rustavi, Akhaltsikhe, Mtskheta, Telavi, Zugdidi, Gori, Ozurgeti, Mestia, and others, with a primary focus on roads and highways.

The publication of 360-degree panoramic images of Georgian cities will begin in 2026, which will improve navigation and promote tourism development - visitors will be able to preview Georgia and better plan their trips.

Street View images include only public property, as well as private areas for which photography permission exists. In addition, Google provides easy-to-use tools for people to request blurring of their home, car, or themselves, and to flag images that are inappropriate/unacceptable for review and deletion.
