First-category enterprises must register in the registry of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development by January 31, 2026. This is provided for by the Law of Georgia On Energy Efficiency and the Rules for Conducting Energy Audits approved by the order of the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development.

For the purpose of registration in the registry, the enterprise must submit information corresponding to the annex of this rule and an extract from the Registry of Entrepreneurs and Non-entrepreneurial (Non-commercial) Legal Entities to the Ministry’s email: gesrp@moesd.gov.ge.

An enterprise is of the first category if it meets 2 out of the following 3 criteria: the total value of assets exceeds 50 million GEL, revenue exceeds 100 million GEL, and the average number of employees is over 250 people.
