Interagency Commission on Road Safety Meeting Held, Chaired by Tamar Ioseliani

Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia orginezed the sixth meeting of the Interagency Commission on Road Safety , which was chaired by Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Tamar Ioseliani.

The commission chair presented information to the interagency commission regarding the implementation of the National Road Safety Strategy for 2022-2025. Attention was focused on existing challenges in the field of road safety and ways to solve them.

The meeting also discussed the draft of a new road safety strategy and the activities included therein. Attention was focused on ensuring the safety of minors while in traffic.

The commission meeting was attended by the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia, Alexandre Darakhvelidze; Deputy Minister of Infrastructure of Georgia, Mzia Giorgobiani; First Deputy Minister of Regional Development of Georgia, Levan Zautashvili; as well as by the heads and representatives of other state agencies responsible for road safety (including such agencies as the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia; the Roads Department of Georgia; the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health; Tbilisi Transport and Urban Development Agency; the Emergency Situations Coordination and Urgent Assistance Center; the Land Transport Agency; the Service Agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs; and the Public Safety Management Center “112”).
