Tamar Ioseliani Met with British Embassy Deputy Head of Mission

Tamar Ioseliani, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, met with Charmian Lever, Deputy Head of Mission at the British Embassy. The sides discussed the development of the digital corridor and the enhancement of Georgias connectivity in this direction.

It was noted at the meeting that Georgia has immense potential to utilize its geographical location, favorable legislative framework, and business environment to develop a regional digital hub. The Deputy Minister emphasized that the Black Sea fiber-optic cable project is a priority in terms of developing the digital corridor between Europe and Asia and attracting investment.

At the meeting, the British side expressed active interest in the Black Sea fiber-optic cable project.

It was highlighted that the project has already generated significant interest from both Georgian telecom operators and potential investors.
