Deputy Ministers of Economy and Sustainable Development, Genadi Arveladze and Inga Pkhaladze, met with the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, Ahmed bin Mubarak Al Hajeri, who visited Georgia with a representative delegation of the private sector.
The parties discussed the existing ties between the two countries and prospects of the further deepening of these relations. Emphasis was placed on cooperation in the fields of renewable energy, transport, logistics and tourism. The parties also discussed the increase of Georgian product exports to the United Arab Emirates in terms of food security.
During the meeting, focus was placed on Georgia as a globally attractive investment environment. Genadi Arveladze welcomed the opening of the Eagle Hills Georgia office in Tbilisi and noted that the company’s large-scale projects will lay the foundation for a new, historic stage of the country’s development.
At the meeting, the parties agreed that through the involvement of the public and private sectors of the two countries, an effective mechanism for discussing investment projects will be established, which will facilitate cooperation between Georgia and the United Arab Emirates in attracting investment and implementing new projects.
The Director General of Georgian Railway, Lasha Abashidze, and the Ambassador of Georgia to the United Arab Emirates, Giorgi Janjgava, also attended the meeting.
