Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Mariam Kvrivishvili, met with the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for the United States, Sonata Coulter.
Within the framework of the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for cooperation between Georgia and the United States. Emphasis was placed on resetting relations between the two countries. Particular stress was placed on the importance of the United States’ firm support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
During the meeting, the Minister provided the Deputy Assistant Secretary with detailed information regarding Georgia's economic achievements and available investment opportunities. Georgia’s investment potential was highlighted in strategic sectors such as energy, transport and logistics.
Special attention was devoted to regional connectivity and strengthening Georgia’s role as a key player in the Middle Corridor.
The parties also discussed issues of future relations.
Deputy Ministers Tamar Ioseliani and Genadi Arveladze also attended the meeting.
