In January-April 2026, exports from Georgia was increased by 21,1%, reaching 2439,8 million USD, which is a record high. The figures for April are also record-breaking: according to current statistical data, exports in April increased by 16,1% compared to the same period of last year, amounting to 716,2 million USD.
In April, trade turnover also reached a record volume of 2197,1 million USD, which is 2,6% higher than the figure for the corresponding period of the previous year. In January-April 2026, trade turnover was increased by 1,7%, totaling 8132,1 million USD.
The trade balance was also improved in April. The trade deficit in April 2026 amounted to 764,7 million USD, which is an improvement be 143,8 million USD compared to April of the previous year.
It is noteworthy that record volumes of exports and trade turnover were recorded in 2025 as well. In 2025, exports was increased by 11,2%, reaching 7,3 billion USD, while trade turnover grew by 10,5%, totaling 25,9 billion USD.
