Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Mariam Kvrivishvili, met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China, Zhou Qian.
During the meeting, the parties discussed issues concerning trade and economic relations between the two countries and prospects for their further development. The Minister highlighted the growing dynamics of trade turnover and noted that China is one of Georgia’s largest trade partners. Additionally, emphasis was placed on the importance of the Middle Corridor.
The conversation touched upon the Minister of Economy’s recent visit to China, focusing on the progress achieved and future prospects. In this regard, special emphasis was placed on the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement between China and Georgia. It was noted that signing this agreement will provide a new impetus for both countries to deepen economic ties.
Furthermore, the discussion focused on enhancing cooperation in the civil aviation and tourism sectors. The Deputy Ministers of Economy and Sustainable Development, Tamar Ioseliani and Genadi Arveladze also attended the meeting.
