Work on the preparation of the feasibility study for Tbilisi’s new international airport is actively underway. The study is being conducted by the international consulting company amd.sigma strategic airport development GmbH. Tamar Ioseliani, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, held a meeting with representatives of the company.
During the meeting, discussions focused on the optimal development model for Tbilisi’s new international airport, as well as key directions for future cooperation.
As part of the visit, the amd.sigma team will hold meetings with representatives of various state agencies, airlines operating at Tbilisi International Airport, and other organizations.
amd.sigma was selected through an international tender announced by the Asian Development Bank (ADB). It is a Berlin-based international consulting firm specializing in strategic airport development, designing and feasibility studies.
Since 2019, amd.sigma has been part of Munich Airport International (MAI). Leveraging the expertise and international resources of the Munich Airport Group, it executes airport development projects worldwide.
Along with Tamar Ioseliani, Deputy Minister of Finance, Ekaterine Guntsadze and Head of the United Airports of Georgia, Levan Moseshvili attended the meeting held at the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development with the company’s representatives.
