Mariam Kvrivishvili Met with Tether, World’s Largest Blockchain-Based Platform Delegation Chair 

Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili met with Giancarlo Devasini, Chairman and Main Shareholder of Tether, the world’s largest blockchain-based platform, and the members of the Tether delegation.

The parties discussed the development of the fintech sector in Georgia and the region, the investment environment, and current and future investment projects implemented by Tether in Georgia.

Emphasis was placed on the significant efforts made by the Government of Georgia toward developing the country’s technological and innovative ecosystem. Particular attention was paid to modernizing the financial sector and advancing fintech innovations, which will support Georgia’s establishment as a regional technological and financial hub.

Member of Parliament Vakhtang Turnava also attended the meeting.
