“From the 2026 summer navigation season, Tbilisi will be connected to another European capital – starting 27 June, flights between Tbilisi and Copenhagen will operate twice weekly. This signifies enhanced connectivity between Northern Europe and Georgia, as well as an increase in tourist flows,” – Tamar Ioseliani, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development stated regarding the launch of the new flight direction.

Direct air services between Tbilisi and the capital of the Kingdom of Denmark will be operated by Norwegian Air Sweden, a subsidiary of the Scandinavian low-cost carrier Norwegian.

“The Scandinavian market is of paramount strategic importance to us from a tourism perspective. Furthermore, Copenhagen International Airport is one of the largest hubs in the European region; consequently, this route will facilitate increasing connectivity for tourist flows from Scandinavian countries to our capital,” – the Deputy Minister noted.

Additionally, the Deputy Minister emphasized that regular flights from the Kingdom of Denmark will operate year-round. Beyond fostering greater connectivity with Northern Europe, this provides an additional opportunity for Georgian citizens to travel to various global destinations via Copenhagen.

“The existence of direct flights between Tbilisi and Copenhagen is a significant factor not only for the growth of tourist flows but also in terms of promoting the development of business links,” – Tamar Ioseliani commented.
