From May 16, a Joint Monitoring Group of Ministries of Labor, Health and Social Affairs and the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia starts inspection of Tkibuli and Chiatura mines.
The Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development and the Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Affairs have created a joint monitoring group based on a joint order of May 11, 2017 (N1-1 / 200, 01-98 / T). The Group will oversee hard, harmful, and hazardous or technicalally dangerous workplaces that have a high risk for human life and health.
The monitoring group consists of representatives of the relevant spheres of both agencies i.e. the employees of the Technical and Construction Supervision Agency as well as the Department of Labor Conditions Inspection.
Since the order has already been enacted, on May 16 the representatives of both Ministries began inspection of Tkibuli and Chiatura mines.
Target places will undergo a double check: technical inspection, as well as supervision of labor conditions in order to identify whether they meet the labor and safety requirements established by the legislation.
