Levan Davitashvili Discussed Georgia’s Renewable Energy Projects with MASDAR Delegation

Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Levan Davitashvili held a meeting with the delegation of ABU DHABI FUTURE ENERGY COMPANY PJSC - MASDAR, visiting Georgia to discuss the further development of renewable energy projects.

At the end of last year, an agreement was signed between the Energy Development Fund of Georgia and ABU DHABI FUTURE ENERGY COMPANY PJSC - MASDAR on the joint development of a solar PV project in Georgia with a capacity of up to 100 MW.

The agreement envisages that the parties carry out technical, commercial and financial activities for the further development of the solar power plant project.

The signing of the agreement was preceded by a visit of the MASDAR Investments and Business Development Director to Georgia, where the parties discussed issues of future cooperation.

Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Romeo Mikautadze and Director of the Georgian Energy Development Fund, Giorgi Chikovani also attended the meeting.
