Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Levan Davitashvili attended the presentation of the new project - Central Park Towers, which is being implemented by “Orbi Group” on Kazbegi Avenue in Tbilisi. Within the framework of the presentation, a cooperation agreement signing ceremony was also held between the company and the international hotel operator “Radisson Blue”. Central Park Towers is a hub of 1500-rooms, twenty-five of five-star hotels, where “Radisson Blue” will start operating over 150 rooms.
“It should be noted that projects of this type are not only significant from the point of view of investment, but also create new centres of attraction for tourism, as this is a hotel cluster. In itself, this is an original project and will be implemented for the first time in Georgia - ten different hotels under different owners will be present next to one branded hotel "Radisson Blue", but here there will be united, under common multifunctional spaces for guests. I think this innovative project will create a new attraction and bring new tourist flows to the country,” – Vice Prime Minister commented.
General Director of Orbi Group, Irakli Kverghelidze introduced the concept and infrastructural details of the project to the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, as well as the progress of the works. According to him, the project will house the largest event hall in the region for 2500 people, the largest casino in Georgia and the first mall of luxury brands.
The Central Park Towers will also house 7 premium class restaurants of the world’s leading cuisine, including the first Michelin star restaurant in the region, premium class spa and office spaces, the most expensive penthouses in Georgia, modern automated parking. The world’s leading top companies will be represented in the infrastructure management of the complex.
“We are talking about a very large investment - 300 million USD will be invested in two years, and this is also very important for the economy of our country, because direct investments are one of the important contributors to its growth. The project is also very important from the point of view of employment - we are talking about employment of 2000 to 3000 professional people and decent remuneration. In addition, it is about the citizens of Georgia, who today live abroad and work in the hotel industry, should return to their country and be able to use professional knowledge and realize themselves from a professional point of view in such high-level conditions,” – Minister of Economy noted.
Levan Davitashvili said that the project will be very successful for Tbilisi and for Georgia in general, because the company already has significant experience in the hotel and hospitality business. According to him, there will be maximum support from the state so that such projects are implemented smoothly and quickly.
