Giorgi Gakharia Attended New Borjomi Cans Racking Line Opening

Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia attended the launching of the new production line at Borjomi number one bottling factory. Giorgi Gakharia accompanied by the IDS Borjomi Georgia Director General, Zaza Kikvadze examined the racking line produced by the Italian company CFT as well as the production process itself. 

A new line, fully complying with the modern standards and equipped with innovation technologies, will diffuse Borjomi mineral water into 0.33 liter aluminum cans. The company has implemented the innovative project upon the 5-million reinvestment.

“Borjomi Company establishes a new standard for mineral water marketing at the international market. Today, we have seen and opened a new racking line, which will produce aluminum cans of Borjomi mineral water. It is difficult to call Borjomi an innovative product, but the canned minerals water and its marketing is absolutely innovative. It is not necessary to explain how important Borjomi is for Georgian export or economy and we are confident that this new product will facilitate the success of the company as well as Georgian export. It is really a good product and I am sure that Georgian consumers will give a proper evaluation of canned Borjomi” – Giorgi Gakharia said to the media representatives.

According to the Director General of the IDS Borjomi Georgia, Zaza Kikvadze, the main direction of the company's strategy is to implement innovative projects and one of such projects is the new, innovative packaging of Borjomi. “Studies conducted in Georgia as well as at the export markets revealed the demand on such packaging. We responded to the customer expectations and today Borjomi in the aluminum cans is already in production. Aluminum cans are target at 20-30 year old customers,” - Zaza Kikvadze noted.

According to Zaza Kikvadze, this innovation will enable the company to reach more customers and establish new standards on the Georgian mineral water market. “As you know, mineral water Borjomi is a well-known Georgian brand. We continuously work on the brand development, try to introduce new trends in the manufacturing process and make our brands fully comprehensive to the existing challenges and the world's strictest standards. Of course, we will not stop working in the direction of innovations, which in turn will facilitate the development of the marke,” – Zaza Kikvadze, Director General of the IDS Borjomi Georgia stated. 

Borjomi mineral water in an unusual and exclusive packaging of 0.33 liter so called ‘sleek’ cans, will be available at the market promptly.
