Tbilisi Silk Road Forum to Be Supervised by Executive Command

In order to ensure the high-level pace of the Tbilisi Silk Road Forum On October 26-27, executive command will be working in the Biltmore Hotel. The Command was opened today by its head, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Genadi Arveladze. Arveladze noted that the Forum is a very important international event, which rose high interest within the government and business sectors, and therefore it is also important to hold it at a highest level.

“Tbilisi Silk Road Forum is one of the largest events in terms of importance. We are expecting high-level guests from various countries, including prime ministers from the region as well as high-ranking officials from European and Asian countries. It is important that within the framework of the Forum we will discuss such important issues as trade, energy, tourism, transport, as well as the fintech, which is a new topic and this year we have added it discussion points of the Forum,” – Genadi Arveladze stated.

Silk Road Forum 2023 is being held in Tbilisi for the fourth time - it has become an international brand and a representative political-economic platform. This year’s forum is expected to host about 2,000 participants from over 60 countries representing governmental as well as private sectors. Prime Ministers of Georgia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Montenegro and the Vice-president of the Asian Development Bank, will open the Forum.

The Forum participants will discuss global economic challenges, ways to solve them, and aspects and perspectives of cooperation in terms of connectivity. Ten sessions will be held within the framework of the event covering trade, transport, energy, tourism, digital and financial technologies. It should be noted that the moderators will be the leading journalists of BBC, Bloomberg, DW. The second day of the forum will be devoted to discussion of Georgia’s investment opportunities and bilateral meetings (B2B).

Executive command will work full time every day until the end of the Forum.
