Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development Launches 3-Month Paid State Internship Program

A 3-month paid state internship program is set to begin at the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development in October 2025.

Georgian citizens who are capable, speak the state language, and are studying in the final year of the first stage of higher education, or in the second stage (master’s program), or have completed the first or second stage of higher education in the spring semester of the academic year of 2024-2025, are eligible to participate and undergo a paid internship at the Ministry’s central office and its affiliated organizations.

The selection criteria for interns are based on the candidate’s academic performance (GPA) and a point system. During the interview, preference will be given to candidates with the highest academic performance.

Within the program, 164 Georgian citizens will accomplish internship at the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development’s central office and its affiliated organizations in the following fields:

  •  Law;
  •  Economics;
  •  Business Administration;
  • Construction / Hydrotechnical Construction / Spatial Planning / Urbanism / Architecture;
  •  Geology / Cartography;
  • Physics, Chemistry, Radiophysics, Automation and Control Systems;
  • Construction Engineer, Engineer, Automotive Engineer, Electrical Engineer;
  • Energy;
  • Finance /Audit;
  •  International Relations;
  • Public Administration;
  • Journalism, Public Relations;
  • Telecommunications / Information and Communication Technologies;
  • Transport / Logistics;
  • Maritime Studies;
  • Hydrography;
  • Tourism;
  • Social Sciences;
  • Programming/IT.

Applicants interested in an internship at the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development should submit an application between 1-10 September via www.hr.gov.ge.

The selection of the candidates is a two-stage competition, and an authorized commission will make the final decision on the selection of interns for the program.
