Tamar Ioseliani has over 15 years of managerial experience in the transport sector. In 2018-2023, Ioseliani was in head of the Maritime Transport Agency, in 2023-2025 – the Supervisory Board of the Anaklia Deepwater Port, and from 2025 up to date, she held the position of Chairperson of the Supervisory Board of LLC United Airports of Georgia. In the same year, Tamar Ioseliani was appointed as Chairperson of the Council for the Authorization of Higher Educational Institutions.

Tamar Ioseliani holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the Georgian-American University. In 2015, as a UN and Nippon Foundation scholar, she studied at the University of Southampton in Great Britain and completed an internship at the UN Headquarters (New York). She successfully completed the Ocean Governance Programme (Yeosu Academy, South Korea) and the Advanced Maritime Leaders Programme (Singapore).

In 2007–2009, she completed a program at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), which included corporate law, governance, international and commercial law, competition policy, and intellectual property law.

Tamar Ioseliani replaced Guram Guramishvili in this post, who had held the position of Deputy Minister since March 2021.
