Tamar Ioseliani, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, held the meeting with the representatives of the French Embassy in Georgia and discussed cooperation between the two countries in the field of transport and logistics.
The parties focused on deepening cooperation in such areas as land and sea transport, civil aviation, maritime safety, sustainable navigation, railways, and others.
Tamar Ioseliani provided the representatives of the French Embassy with detailed information on the progress of the construction of Georgia’s large transport and logistics infrastructure and the government’s vision for the development of the Middle Corridor. Particular attention was paid to such projects as the Anaklia Deep Sea Port, the railway modernization project, the East-West Highway, etc. The parties discussed the possibility of attracting greater interest from French companies in Georgia.
The parties also talked about deepening cooperation in the field of civil aviation, which will promote both the growth of passenger traffic and relations in tourism and other sectors of the economy.
