Inga Pkhaladze and Energy Community Director Artur Lorkowski Discussed Energy Sector Topical Processes

Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Inga Pkhaladze met with Energy Community Director, Artur Lorkowski and accompanying persons.

The parties discussed existing trends in Georgia’s energy sector, as well as ongoing and planned energy projects and reforms.

The Director of the Energy Community re-affirmed the organization’s readiness to continue supporting and facilitating Georgia in the successful implementation of the mentioned processes.

The successful involvement of Georgia, as the Presidency country of the Energy Community, in the events carried out by the organization in 2025 was highlighted.

The Black Sea Submarine Cable project, through which Georgia’s electric power system will connect to the European one was also paid a special emphases.

At the end of the meeting, it was noted that Georgia continues to fulfill obligations undertaken before the Energy Community regarding the approximation of Georgia’s normative base with the European energy legislation and the introduction of modern competitive market principles.
