Representatives of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development met with the business representatives of the relevant companies to discuss the implementation of the energy audit obligations. The meeting was co-organized by the Business Association of Georgia. Its purpose was to provide the business sector with detailed information on the legal and practical requirements stipulated by the Law of Georgia on Energy Efficiency and relevant sub-legislative acts.
The meeting focused on the Rules for Conducting Energy Audits and the obligations arising for first-category enterprises as a result of its implementation, which entered into force on December 31, 2025, by order of the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development. Emphasis was also placed on the importance of energy audits in terms of improving energy efficiency, reducing costs, and ensuring compliance with the goals of the country's energy policy.
At the meeting, business representatives were addressed by members of the Department of Energy Efficiency, Renewable Energy Policy, and Sustainable Development of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, the Unified National Body of Accreditation - Accreditation Center, as well as representatives of the Business Association. The meeting was held in an interactive format.
