Mariam Kvrivishvili Discussed Trade and Economic Ties with the Slovak Ambassador

Mariam Kvrivishvili, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, met with the Ambassador of Slovakia to Georgia, Matúš Bušovský.

The meeting focused on the trade and economic ties between the two countries and bilateral economic relations. Particular attention was paid to the implementation of the Economic Cooperation Agreement signed between the governments of Georgia and Slovakia during the Tbilisi Silk Road Forum, as well as the creation of an economic commission.

The parties discussed cooperation in bilateral trade, investment, information technology, energy, logistics, real estate, civil aviation and tourism. The specific interest of Slovak business circles in investing in various sectors of the Georgian economy was emphasized.

The meeting also positively assessed the launch of direct flights between Georgia and Slovakia. It was noted that the Georgian side welcomes an increase in both flight frequency and the number of destinations between the cities of the two countries, which will strengthen people-to-people ties, increase tourist flows and deepen business relationships.
